Ultrasonic sensor provides true foreground/background suppression

To avoid obstacles in the way of an object being detected, the Superprox[TM] Model SM900 series of proximity sensors provides foreground and background suppression as part of its pushbutton, sensing window, "teach" setup. The sensor's discriminating microprocessor detects only those objects within the set sensing window and ignores objects outside the window--such as those objects behind a grid or inside a narrow opening. Meeting very tight space requirements, the sensors offer deadbands of 51 and 120 millimeters to provide efficient proximity detection within sensing ranges up to 1 and 2 meters, respectively. The near and far limits of the sensing window can be set to either encompass the full range or be as small as possible to limit the volume in space to be detected.

Honeycomb shock-absorbing structure produces repeatable cushioning characteristics

Cushion-Comb[TM] honeycomb shock-absorbing structure features honeycomb cells that have been pre-crushed to enable them to absorb repeated shock, minimizing the transfer of "road shock" to medical lab equipment being shipped. A combination of proprietary production process and state-of-the-art paper chemistry allows the new structure to produce consistently repeatable cushioning characteristics similar to those found in plastic foams such as polyethylene, polyurethane and polystyrene. Because Cushion Comb is made entirely from paper, it can be disposed of along with the corrugated shipper.

Shrink bands ensure product security

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) shrink bands are available as rollstock and cut bands. The bands lock in the freshness of food and beverage products, yet also serve as a tamper-evident feature in closures for medical and pharmaceutical products. The shrink bands are available in a range of stock and custom sizes. Various colors are available.
