Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedPaper demand to rise slowly but steadily
Food & Drug Packaging, April, 2005
The U.S. demand for paper packaging products, excluding boxes, is expected to rise 2.3% a year to reach $8.4 billion in 2008, according to a study by The Freedonia Group. Plastic is still expected to take some market share away from paper, but the demand for paper will be protected to some extent by its entrenched use for some applications like small multipacks and cream tubs.
