Film-topped tray shows off razors

Food & Drug Packaging, April, 2005

Disposable Schick razors from Energizer Holdings Inc. are packaged in a tray/lidding combination that allows consumers a full view of the product.

Xtreme3 razors come in a thermoformed polyethylene terephthalate (PET) tray, topped with EZ Peel film from Curwood Inc. The PET film is coextruded with a sealant layer for performance superior to solvent-based peelable coatings.

The Schick Xtreme3 high-heat resistant exterior provides a high-gloss, highly stable surface for both reverse and surface printing. it also offers the opportunity for up to eight-color process graphics and product information on the product face, while still allowing consumers to have a clear view of the product.
