Biscuits come in 2-packs

Food & Drug Packaging, April, 2005

The Pillsbury division of General Mills has moved out of its standard composite canister for its latest offering in refrigerated biscuit dough.

Perfect Portions biscuits come in a paperboard carton with a die-cut "bakery window" for product viewing. Inside the carton are five pairs of biscuits, each wrapped in a peel-apart plastic pouch with printed baking instructions.

The product is meant for singles and small households that can't consume eight or more biscuits from a convolute canister at one sitting. It follows the trend of Pillsbury's introduction last year of frozen rolls in a stand-up pouch that allows consumers to remove only one or more at a time.
