RAN stages protest at Boise Cascade building - Brief Article
Home Channel News, August 6, 2001
The Rainforest Action Network stepped up its campaign against Boise Cascade by holding a demonstration outside Boise's Office Products division offices in Itasca, ill., that resulted in the arrest of 30 people. RAN staged the protest to condemn what it believes to be Boise's efforts to silence the environmental group, which has targeted Boise for selling wood products from endangered forests.
RAN also accuses Boise of supporting conservative groups' efforts to urge the IRS to revoke RAN's non-profit status. (7/27)
