Emerson's Ridgid tool line wins design awards - Brief Article

In a competition cosponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of America and BusinessWeek magazine, three Emerson Electric tools sold under its Ridgid brand -- a 10-inch portable table saw, a 13-inch thickness planer, and a 10-inch rotohammer -- were chosen from among 1,200 entries to win Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
The planer was recognized as a "Best New Tool" in 1999 by Popular Woodworking magazine.
