The terrorist attacks in New York and Washington have unified the United States and have prompted many individuals and companies to offer any assistance they can. What measures could the home improvement industry take in this time of tragedy and crisis?

A) Companies should mobilize their work forces to donate blood and, longer term, products and money that could help victims of the attacks.
B) Building materials should be offered -- through donations or at significant discounts -- to business and commercial companies that plan to rebuild after the attacks.
C) While respecting the legal and constitutional rights of individuals, companies need to re-evaluate their hiring policies and procedures to be able to better assess the backgrounds of potential job candidates.
