Court rides in favor of lamp manufacturers in feud with Vermont

> A federal judge recently sided with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association in issuing a preliminary injunction preventing the state of Vermont from requiring lamp makers to put special labels on lamps containing mercury. U.S. District Court Judge J.G. Murtha decided the labeling rule would violate Constitutional prohibitions against excessive state interference with a manufacturer's right to engage in interstate commerce and free speech, the association said.
