Thermal Industries to use self-cleaning glass - in new windows - Brief Article

Home Channel News, Nov 5, 2001

Thermal Industries, a Pittsburgh, Pa.-based window and door manufacturer, will feature SunClean self-cleaning glass in its spring line of residential windows. Made by PPG Industries, also in Pittsburgh, self-cleaning glass has a transparent coating that loosens dirt and sheets water, allowing homeowners to clean window exteriors with a garden hose.

Thermal will offer SunClean glass in its full residential line, including double hung, casement, sliding, bow and bay windows, as well as patio doors and enclosures. Thermal Industries is a part of Atrium Cos., a maker of aluminum and vinyl windows and patio doors.
