Orlanco continues to lead this list, and other top ten retail "hot spots" are all in temperate and tropical climates. Orlando and Las Vegas lead the way, but Austin is a force to consider. Austin is being touted as Silicon Valley of the South, but better: a pleasant climate and hill country beauty, affordable housing, a well-educated populace, its status as state capital as well as the "Live Music Capital of the World" and a lack of state income tax -- all appeal to young entrepreneurs.
