TruServ reorganizes its MRO ranks - Breaking News - Brief Article

Home Channel News, Dec 17, 2001

TruServ, the member-owned hardware cooperative, has shaken up its management ranks in an effort to jump-start its rental and maintenance, repair and operations divisions.

These two segments will now report directly to TruServ CEO Pamela Forbes Lieberman. Previously, TruServ's MRO division, which consists of its commercial/industrial members, reported to Bill Godwin, senior vp-supply chain and business segments, while Tom Capaldo, the co-op's former director of business segments, headed up the rental division. As of Nov. 12, Capaldo is no longer with the company.

Other changes are the appointments of Dick Detmer to the position of interim general manager of the rental division and Fred Kirst as MRO vp.

TruServ has about 450 commercial/industrial members who sell to schools, government, institutional organizations and non-DIYers. "It's time to dial up the intensity and focus on these business segments." said Forbes Lieberman.
