Ultra Hardware opens huge new warehouse. The hardlines supplier's 1 million-square-foot, $1.8 million facility, in Pennsauken, NJ., is 53 feet high with 45-foot-high shelving capable of stocking merchandise 10 pallets high. The facility, which opened Dec. 7, allows Ultra to expand into new lines, such as plumbing, cabinet hardware and millwork component parts.
The new facility also provides the company with the ability to ship within 24 hours of placing an order. The need for the warehouse emerged after Ultra's recent acquisition of competitor The Ferum Co.
