Cooper Industries establishes global enterprise - Brief Article

Houston-based Cooper Industries announced the consolidation of its hand tool and power tool divisions into one global business unit to be known as Cooper Tools. A. Peter Held, the current president of Cooper PowerTools, will become president of the new business unit, which will be based in Lexington, S.C.
The new organization includes 59 manufacturing and sales facilities in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Dave Cartwright, who previously headed the hand tool division, has retired from the company.
