Peachtree signs on for energy-rating effort

Home Channel News, Feb 7, 2000

Peachtree Doors & Windows, Norcross, Ga., recently announced its compliance with the Energy Star program. To earn the Energy Star designation, windows and doors must be rated and certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council for both U-factor and solar heat gain. The Energy Star program establishes three climate regions (Northern, Central and Southern) and recommends specific criteria for each region.

Peachtree said that all of its entry doors, patio doors and windows are Energy Star-compliant when purchased with the Low-e glass option.
