Kohler Company of Kohler, Wis., debuts its residential generators which provide standby power for safety. The Kohler generators, which are a little larger than a central air-conditioning unit, are professionally installed outside the home. The systems are tamperresistant, weatherproof and sound deadened. They feature internal exhaust systems to ensure quiet, safe operation. The units range from 8.5 kilowatts and up. They work with fully automated transfer switches that respond instantly to a failed utility.
