Cooper Lighting merges divisions
Home Channel News, March 6, 2000
The supplier is combining the sales and marketing for its hardware and home center sectors with those of Regent Lighting -- which Cooper acquired in December 1999 -- to increase consumer market penetration. The company has appointed Regent's chief financial officer, Patrick Harvey, as vp and general manager of the combination, which it is calling its Retail Markets group and which will be based in Burlington, N.C.
Regent's vp-sales, David Springstroh, will oversee the sales and marketing of the group. Ed LeBlanc and Ed Small, Regent's president and executive vp, respectively, will stay on during a transition period that is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
