S. Korea Feb. current account surplus at 2.34 bil. dlrs

SEOUL, March 30 Kyodo South Korea posted a 2.34 billion dollar surplus in its current account for February, up 430 million dollars from the previous month, the Bank of Korea said Tuesday. The increase in the current account surplus is attributable to a sharp drop in imports, the central bank said.

Exports in February declined 3.3% from the previous month to 9.8 billion dollars and imports fell 10.9% to 7.36 billion dollars.
