DKB Investment Management to be liquidated

Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank (DKB) said Friday it has decided to liquidate its subsidiary DKB Investment Management Co. on Saturday to integrate investment trusts development sections in the DKB group.
The investment trust funds set up by the subsidiary were transferred to Dai-Ichi Kangyo Asset Management Co., so the operation and management of the funds can continue as before, DKB said.
DKB Investment Management was established in March 1999 as a joint investment management firm of DKB and J.P. Morgan Investment Management.
After a contract in the investment trust business between the two companies was canceled, the joint firm became a fully owned subsidiary of the big Japanese commercial bank.
