A hair dryer short circuit sparked a beauty salon fire that killed nine and injured 13 in southern China's Guangdong Province, the official Xinhua News Agency quoted a joint police-firefighter report as saying.
Four people were burned to death and five died after jumping from a fifth floor during the June 24 fire, which gutted the Xiaobaile Beauty Salon in Lianjiang city within 40 minutes, the report said.
