The Singapore Exchange said Wednesday that Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc.'s MSCI Japan Index Futures will be listed for trading at the exchange in the second quarter of 2002.
The exchange said a contract it has signed with Morgan Stanley ''aims to meet the strong demand for a hedging and investing instrument that is based on a globally recognized, capitalization-weighted index, which reflects the sectoral diversity of the Japanese equity markets.''
The trading hours will be from 7:55 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and from 11:15 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
The contract size will be 5,000 yen multiplied by the MSCI Japan Index level.
