At least three people were killed after Typhoon Neoguri struck southern China over the weekend, state media reported Monday.
Forty fishermen including 22 Vietnamese are also still missing off the southern coast, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
Two people were killed in mudslides in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province after the typhoon, which had weakened to a tropical storm, struck land on Saturday, Xinhua said.
Another person was killed in the city of Zhuhai after strong winds blew sheet metal off a stadium roof, Xinhua said.
More than 100 fishermen were picked up by rescue teams on Saturday, state media said.

A capsized Vietnamese fishing boat was also spotted on Sunday and rescue helicopters have been searching for any survivors among the 22 men who were listed on board.
More than 213,000 people were evacuated from their homes before Typhoon Neoguri first landed on Hainan Island on Friday evening.
Typhoon season normally begins in June in China, and weather experts are expecting more of the severe storms this year because of the La Nina effect, a periodic cooling of water temperatures in the Pacific Ocean which can lead to increased rainfall in southern China, Xinhua said.
