BANGKOK, July 13 Kyodo

Thailand's Election Commission on Thursday approved the victories of candidates in three Senate seats where earlier results had been annulled, leaving just one seat in the 200-member body still to be filled.

The election for the final seat will be held July 22. The Senate will not begin functioning until all the seats are filled.

Senate elections were first held March 4, but results in a number of seats were annulled after reports of irregularities. The results of some of the subsequent votes were also annulled.
