ISLAMABAD - The coalition forces in Afghanistan hit a Pakistani border checkpost in the North Waziristan tribal area Monday, in an accidental air strike, killing one paramilitary man and injuring two others, Defense Ministry officials said.
''The post was hit by accidental air strike, in Shawal, a mountainous area close to the border in North Waziristan,'' at 2:45 p.m., a ministry official said.
---------- Japan, Russia unlikely to discuss territorial issue at talks
MOSCOW - A senior Russian official believes Japan and Russia will not discuss the ongoing territorial dispute during the two countries' first strategic dialogue to be held in Moscow on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Itar-Tass news agency reported Monday.
First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Denisov, who will represent Russia at the talks, said Russia and Japan will continue discussing the signing of a peace treaty within the existing framework of vice ministerial-level talks, but said it would not be appropriate to bring up the territorial issue at the strategic dialogue, according to the report.

CAIRO - At least 88 people were killed and 160 others wounded when a double car bombing hit central Baghdad's crowded Bab al-Sharji market in the city's Shiite district, the Reuters news service reported Monday.
The attack, the worst since the execution of former Iraq leader Saddam Hussein and announcement of new Iraq policy by U.S. President George W. Bush, may have been led by Sunni militants seeking revenge, observers said.
---------- N. Korea, U.S. to hold sanctions talks from Wed. in Beijing: report
MOSCOW - North Korea and the United States will meet again in Beijing from Wednesday through Saturday to discuss the financial sanctions issue, the Interfax news agency reported Monday.
Citing a North Korean diplomatic source, the report said North Korea's vice foreign minister and chief delegate to the six-party talks, Kim Kye Gwan, will join the talks.
