The UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS EL PASO has received a four-year, $1.6 MILLION grant from the National Institutes of Health to fund research into several diseases, including West Nile Virus, Chagas disease and Giardia infection. The grant, awarded to the Minority Biomedical Research Support/Support of Continuous Research Excellence program, will fund 11 faculty research projects.
