Diverse Issues in Higher Education, August 7, 2008
Dr. Michelle Asha Cooper has been named president of the Institute for Higher Education Policy, effective Sept. 8. Formerly, she served as deputy director for the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance at the U.S. Department of Education. Cooper earned a bachelor's from the College of Charleston, a master's from Cornell University and a doctorate from the University of Maryland, College Park.
