CHERYL BAILEY GITTENS has been named director of the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program at Virginia Polytechnic and State University. She was most recently director of the health careers opportunity program at Northern Virginia Community College. Gittens earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Rutgers University.
