DR. CYNTHIA R. D. SELASSIE, a professor of chemistry at Pomona College (Calif.), has been appointed associate dean of the college. Selassie earned a bachelor's degree from Mount St. Mary's College, a master's from Duke University and a doctorate from the University of Southern California.
