NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY has received a $2.3 MILLION grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation to support the construction of the Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise Center for Excellence. The BRITE program is designed to help North Carolina expand the size of its biotechnology work force.

The Golden LEAF Foundation has contributed a total of $21.6 million to the project.
