DR. STEVEN KNAPP has been appointed the 16th president of George Washington University (D.C.), effective Aug. 1, 2007. He is currently provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Johns Hopkins University. Knapp holds a bachelor's from Yale University and a master's and doctorate from Cornell University.
