The National Science Foundation has awarded Upstate New York colleges, including SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY, CLARKSON UNIVERSITY, CORNELL UNIVERSITY, MONROE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, ONONDAGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE, RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE and ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, $3 MILLION to enroll more graduate students who are African-American, Hispanic and American Indian in technology, math and engineering fields.
The funds will be distributed over five years.
