Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Feb 8, 2007

Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded $25 MILLION each to BUTLER UNIVERSITY (Ind.) and PURDUE UNIVERSITY (Ind.) to improve pharmacy education, outreach and research at the two institutions. Buffer plans to use the grant to expand its public health initiatives and create more opportunities for students and faculty to work with minority populations.

Purdue plans to develop systems that would combat a range of pharmacy-related problems, including medication errors, counterfeit medications and adverse drug reactions.
