WINSTON-SALEM STATE UNIVERSITY (N.C.) has received a $291,000 grant from the University of North Carolina General Administration to collaborate with Mount Airy Schools and Winston-Salem area schools. The funds will be used to help teachers improve the literacy skills of low-skill students.
