On behalf of the Iomega family, I want to say thank you to every one of our great customers."

Iomega RecordIt software can turn a PC and Zip drive into a digital audio recorder, allowing PC users to easily create personalized voice and music files to share with friends, family and colleagues via Zip disks, Jaz disks or the Internet. One genuine 100MB Iomega Zip disk can hold up to 55 minutes of near CD-quality pre-recorded music, or over 8 hours of voice recording. Internet surfers can download Iomega's RecordIt software free as of July 1, 1998 in celebration of the shipment of the 15 millionth Zip drive.
"With over 15 million Zip drives shipped, the Zip drive is the incumbent high capacity removable technology," said Bob Amatruda, senior analyst at International Data Corporation. "People buy products that make life easier and solve real world problems. Clearly Iomega has exploited that need." About Zip Drives and Disks
At its 15 millionth shipment, the rugged, popular, inexpensive Zip drive is available in systems from all leading desktop manufacturers and offered for more than 50 notebook models, making Zip disks the preferred disk for the digital age.
With more than 15 million Zip drives shipped, Zip users can rely on having access to their important Zip disk-stored information, anytime, anywhere:
* Kinko's, Mailboxes, Etc., Sir Speedy, PIP and AlphaGraphics all offer use of Zip drives and disks to their customers.
* All leading desktop and many notebook PC manufacturers, including Acer, Apple, Compaq, Compal, Chicony, Clevo, Dell, Digital, Fujitsu, Gateway, HP, Hitachi, IBM, Micron, NEC, Siemens-Nixdorf, Sony, Umax, and Unisys offer Zip Built-In as a standard or optional feature.
A variety of Zip drives serve the unique needs of individual users: * Customers buying new desktop and laptop computers can purchase Zip Built-In in their new computer from desktop or laptop original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
* Users of existing PCs can install a Zip ATAPI drive into their computer to enjoy faster Zip performance and save desktop space.
* Iomega SCSI and parallel port external Zip drives provide easy connectivity to virtually any computer.
* Microtech offers an external Zip drive that connects through a PCMCIA slot, providing notebook users with increased portability and ease-of-use.
Rugged, popular, inexpensive Zip drives are available for a retail price as low as $99. Genuine 100MB Iomega Zip disks, which are compatible with all Zip drives offered by Iomega, can be found for as low as $12.95 each when purchased in a 10-pack.
RecordIt software turns a PC and Zip drive into a digital audio recorder. Because RecordIt software saves files in an MPEG format, the files can be played by anyone with popular multimedia players such as Microsoft Media Player (part of the Windows OS), QuickTime 3.0, Winamp/Macamp, as well as the upcoming RealPlayerG2, making RecordIt files easy to share. RecordIt software works with Mac OS 7.5 or higher and Windows 95/98 to record meetings, classes, or favorite CD tracks.
