Brady O. Bruce has been named vice president of marketing for Radius Inc., Mark Housley, chairman and CEO, announced here Monday. Radius is a global supplier of leading-edge digital video capture and editing software solutions, high-end display systems and color calibration software.
At Radius, Bruce will be responsible for all marketing activities including the development of new markets, marketing communication and partnership development.
Bruce was founder and CEO of KnowledgeBank Corp., a developer of knowledge management systems utilizing digital multimedia databases accessed via a voice-actuated search engine.

Prior to founding KnowledgeBank, he worked for VTEL Corporation holding management positions in sales and marketing. At VTEL, Bruce created the firm's health- care markets business unit, later managing sales, marketing and field engineering for Western North America.
"Brady Bruce's qualifications and background in emerging technologies make him an ideal choice to lead Radius' marketing efforts now during an exciting time of new product launches and expansion, " Housley said. "Radius is poised to build on its core strengths in professional video technology - expanding to serve the complete DV market, from home users to corporate to video professionals. The company has spent the last year developing the best DV application software and establishing our credibility. Our task over the next year is to let the market know that we are the best. Brady will lead that effort," Housley said.
Bruce holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as an instructor and senior lecturer in economics at University of Texas, Southwest Texas State University and Austin Community College.
He is an active member of the American Marketing Association and four of its special interest groups. He is also active in the International Telecommunications Association, as well as several telemedicine and healthcare information technology groups.
