Gateway Tuesday announced that Anil Arora has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Arora will report to Jeffrey Weitzen, President and Chief Operating Officer, and will be responsible for directing the company's global marketing, corporate public relations, web management, brand management and market research efforts. Mr. Arora was formerly Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Pillsbury, North America.
"Anil is an outstanding addition to our management team," said Jeffrey Weitzen. "He brings a wealth of marketing knowledge and experience to Gateway and has played key roles in directing successful marketing organizations during his career. Anil understands the key elements needed to further our goal of humanizing the digital revolution."

Mr. Arora was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Pillsbury, North America, where he was responsible for developing strategic marketing initiatives across all of Pillsbury's North American businesses and managing execution of Pillsbury's consumer marketing and market research programs. Previously, he was Vice President of Progresso at Pillsbury, where he had general management responsibilities for a diverse portfolio of businesses acquired by Pillsbury in 1995. In addition, Mr. Arora has 11 years experience in various senior marketing management positions with Kraft Foods, Incorporated, including Business Director of Kraft Cheese.
"Gateway's success as a brand is tied to its understanding of how computers impact people," said Mr. Arora. "I look forward to the challenge of helping Gateway put its innovative technology to use in how people live, learn, work and play."
Mr. Arora earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Rockford College in Illinois. He holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Mr. Arora will be based at the company's administrative headquarters in San Diego, California. About Gateway
