Hewlett-Packard Company Monday cut prices by up to 15 percent across its HP Vectra and HP Brio PCs based on Intel Pentium II 400MHz, 450MHz and Intel Celeron 300AMHz, 333MHz processors. With Monday's price reduction, HP continues to set the pace in delivering its award-winning PCs at the lowest prices to its business customers.

A value-priced HP Brio business PC with a 333MHz Intel Celeron processor, 32MB SDRAM, 4.3GB Ultra-ATA hard drive and 32x CDROM drive now is expected to sell for as little as $929 (U.S.), a price reduction of 15 percent. A manageable HP Vectra VE corporate PC with a 350MHz Pentium II processor, 64MB SDRAM and 6.4 GB Ultra-ATA hard drive now is expected to sell for as little as $1,477(U.S.), a price reduction of 12 percent. In addition, the award-winning, highly manageable HP Vectra VL corporate PC continues to lead with high performance at low market price points. For example, a 400MHz Pentium II processor based HP Vectra VL PC with a 10GB Ultra-ATA hard drive, 32x CDROM drive, 16-bit sound, a 3Com network interface card and Windows NT 4.0 now is expected to sell for an affordable street price of about $1,812 (U.S.), a drop of 13 percent. With Monday's price cuts, HP is passing along recent price reductions from suppliers and savings HP has gained through its Extended Solutions Partnership program, which continues to deliver HP quality at reduced costs for resellers and customers.
