Gateway Monday announced that Phil Kennett has been named vice president of federal government sales for Gateway Business. Mr. Kennett will report to Van Andrews, senior vice president of Gateway Business and be responsible for developing Gateway's federal government accounts.
"Phil brings a wealth of experience and accomplishment serving the federal government channel," said Andrews. "We're excited that Phil is joining Gateway Business and will be leading our federal government sales team."
Mr. Kennett was most recently general manager, PC Federal, Personal Systems Group for Digital Equipment Corporation. He has also held key federal sales positions for Unisys, where he worked closely with the U.S. Department of Defense, the Navy and the Army.

Mr. Kennett earned a bachelor of arts degree from Penn State University. He will be based in the Washington D.C. area.
