Operations. Mr. Levinger assumes worldwide responsibility for the marketing of Wang Global's networked technology services including its recently announced NetWorkPlace services suite and its solutions businesses that include the Netprise electronic commerce family and Advanced Network solutions. Responsibility for the company's financial services industry solutions including the Globalfs framework will remain with U.S. Operations. Mr. Levinger is also in charge of strategies for Wang Global's development and use of its global information systems infrastructure. Mr. Levinger brings more than 20 years of experience in technology marketing and IT services to his new post at Wang Global. He was a founder and principal of the Bentley Company, a systems integration and consulting firm specializing in customer service and support. Located in Hudson, Massachusetts, the Bentley Company was sold in June 1997 to Technology Solutions Company (TSC) of Chicago, Illinois. Following the sale, he remained with TSC as senior vice president and general manager of a new business that provided post-implementation customer service for call center and customer management systems. Before his involvement with the Bentley Company, Mr. Levinger held a number of senior management posts in the information technology industry. From 1991 to 1993 he was vice president of marketing for Rosh Intelligent Systems, now known as ServiceSoft, a developer of client/server software for the service and maintenance industries. For the previous two years he held a similar position at Access Technology, a provider of office automation products for minicomputers, workstations and personal computers. From 1984 to 1989, he held a series of increasingly responsible marketing positions at McCormack and Dodge, a major accounting software vendor. His last position there was senior marketing manager for that company's financial systems business unit. After graduating from Brown University in 1979 with a degree in computer science, Mr. Levinger began his career at Data Resources Inc. starting as an analyst and moving up to the position of director of technology marketing. While he was with Data Resources, Mr. Levinger also acquired a master's degree in business policy from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. "We are very pleased to add Mike Levinger to the Wang Global senior management team," commented Joseph M. Tucci, chairman and CEO. "He has extensive and diversified experience in both the development and the execution of marketing strategies and service delivery in high-growth segments of the information technology industry. We will look to Mike to help us get to the next level, particularly in the rapidly expanding areas of advanced networking and electronic commerce." Levinger noted, "I am excited about joining Wang Global at this point in its history. The company is well positioned in rapidly expanding market segments and has enormous potential for further growth. It has developed a global service delivery capability and has emphasized the next-generation IT services and solutions which will be important factors in the success of dynamic, innovative businesses in the coming years."
