Cisco Systems Signs Partnership with TimeBridge Technologies to Provide 'End-to-End' Remote Network Mangement - Company Business and Marketing

Edge: Work-Group Computing Report, Dec 20, 1999

TimeBidge Technologies, Inc., one of the country's fastest growing provider of Managed Services and Enterprise Solutions, Tuesday announced a partnership with Cisco Systems, Inc. to provide remote network management services to Cisco customers.

The partnership calls for TimeBridge to be the preferred network and database management provider by establishing Remote Management Centers. The strategy calls for creating a national network of response and troubleshooting Centers to open throughout the United States within 12 months. The first Center will open in Tysons Corner, Virginia, in December.

It is expected that the alliance will rapidly expand TimeBridge's presence in the remote management space, a market currently valued at more than $2 billion. The service -- named Sentinel Plus -- will be marketed by TimeBridge directly and through a select group of industry partners chosen by TimeBridge's executive team.

The Cisco and TimeBridge partnership means that mission-critical operations managers are now in a position to get high-end remote network and database management support and expertise, regardless of the complexity of their operations, locations or staffing issues.

"Our customers need the type of remote network and database management support that TimeBridge can offer. TimeBridge sets market standards for achieving 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year e-business performance. We selected TimeBridge for the agreement because of their ability to anticipate customers needs and develop solutions. There is a critical need to provide constant, comprehensive network monitoring and proactive management services supported by the ability to respond when there is a serious system problem. Most companies simply can't afford to keep this kind of talent on staff. By working with TimeBridge we can continue to drive the sophistication of this market," said Clayton Reed, Vice President for Worldwide Customer Advocacy, Cisco Systems, Inc.

"The partnership with Cisco is the next generation service required by both our customers and Cisco customers. The pressures of global competition, time-to-market, technical obsolescence and the never-ending shortage of high quality IT personnel will demand the type of partnership and support that only a TimeBridge and Cisco partnership can provide. This partnership is a first for Cisco and TimeBridge and the agreement fills a market void for remote network and database management," stated William Strang, TimeBridge President and CEO.

TimeBridge's proprietary services, like Sentinel Plus, will integrate best-of-breed network monitoring tools from Cisco Systems and other industry leaders, with trained expert engineers.

Utilizing secure Internet connections and Web-based tools, TimeBridge will provide customers with 24x7x365 monitoring of all network devices, real-time notification of anomalies, alert/incidence response, proactive network administration, and a variety of real-time Internet-based management reports.

TimeBridge Technologies, Inc. is one of the fastest growing providers of Managed Services and Enterprise Solutions, preparing Internet-enabled companies for a rapid and reliable shift to e-business models and readiness for next-generation systems.

TimeBridge develops, delivers, maintains and maximizes the performance of a company's mission-critical network and database operations. Fueled with strong support from its key partners, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems and Oracle, TimeBridge sets market standards for achieving 24x7 e-business performance.

TimeBridge Technologies, founded in 1997, is an expanding, privately-held company and employs more than 200 senior engineers and developers across the United States.
