Edge: Work-Group Computing Report, Feb 15, 1999

CE Software, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CE Software Holdings, Inc., Tuesday announced that national computer retail chain Micro Center will carry QuicKeys for Windows. The first commercial Windows automation utility of its kind, QuicKeys for Windows helps computer users save time and boost productivity by automatically performing hundreds of common computer tasks.

"We're glad to work with Micro Center to bring the automation power of QuicKeys for Windows to a wider range of computer users," said Christian F. Gurney, president and CEO of CE Software. Beginning this month, Micro Center will stock QuicKeys for Windows at its 13 stores nationwide. The Ohio-based retailer plans to expand to 20 stores this year. Released in November, QuicKeys for Windows has already earned positive customer and industry feedback, including recommendations from PC World, PC Magazine, Newsweek and London's Sunday Times. QuicKeys for Windows is also a finalist for the prestigious Excellence in Software Award from the Software Publishers' Association. QuicKeys for Windows uses hot keys and custom toolbars to automate common but time-consuming computer tasks, such as opening programs, typing text, choosing from menus, plus many more. QuicKeys also automates longer, more complicated tasks by recording the keystrokes and mouse-clicks involved in the task then playing them back, quickly and accurately, whenever the user presses the hot key or clicks the toolbar button designated for that task. Pricing and Availability QuicKeys for Windows is $49.95 and is available now direct from CE Software at (800) 523-7638. QuicKeys for Windows is also available through national distributors such as Ingram Micro, from leading mail-order catalogs such as PC Connection and MicroWarehouse, from software retailers such as Micro Center, and via the Internet at www.quickeys.com. For more than a decade, CE Software, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CE SOFTWARE HOLDINGS, INC., has developed automation utilities and E-mail software that save time and boost productivity for millions of Microsoft Windows 95/98, Windows NT and Mac OS users.
