Olicom A/S, the leader in fault-tolerant enterprise networking solutions, has announced a new pricing structure for its wide-area networking solutions, along with a major upgrade to the CrossFire 8000 series router family that increases its ability to service remote branch locations with a high degree of fault tolerance.

"We have decreased the price on our CrossFire 7052 Branch Office Router and 8012 router modules for the 8000 series chassis, placing them at 35% lower than Cisco's equivalent solution," said Rod Gilbert, Olicom's Assistant Vice President of Product Marketing. Software Version 7 of the CrossFire series supports ClearSession For WAN, which provides remote offices unique backup capabilities in the event of a wide-area network failure. Included in Version 7 are several new high-availability features for ATM and traditional WAN implementations, including technology to support source route segment passing and OSPF dynamic area learning.
