Edge: Work-Group Computing Report, June 21, 1999

Iomega Corporation Thursday announced it began shipping the Clik! PC Card Drive - a small, lightweight removable storage drive for notebook PC users - to retail outlets worldwide. The Clik! PC Card Drive offers the ultimate in portability for mobile customers. The Clik! PC Card Drive fits inside the PC card slot, which is common in most notebook and sub-notebook computers shipping today.

It's lightweight, extremely easy to carry, and comes ready to use with no extra cables, which eliminates the need to carry external storage back-up. Using 40 megabyte Clik! disks, the Clik! PC Card drive offers unlimited back-up and expandable, portable storage options for road warriors who rely on their notebook PCs. "We are excited by the reactions of users and the media to our announcement of the Clik! PC Card Drive on June 2. The Clik! PC Card is meeting with a positive response," said Michael Joseph, vice president of Clik! product management, Iomega Corporation. "As we stated, we believe that our new Clik! PC Card drive has the potential to do for notebook users what our Zip drive did for the desktop." Real-time Protection Iomega's Quik Sync and Copy Machine productivity enhancing software are bundled with the Clik! PC Card Drive, allowing users to work smarter and faster. Quik Sync allows users to automatically save important files to a 40MB Clik! disk without being prompted or stopping existing activities. Copy Machine allows users to make a copy of a Clik! disk using a single Clik! drive. Both Quik Sync and Copy Machine software are Y2K compliant. Availability and Pricing The Clik! PC Card Drive is shipping today and will be available worldwide through retail outlets, catalog and Iomega's Web site at www.iomegadirect.com. The Clik!
