ZDTV, an affiliate of Ziff-Davis, Tuesday announced the release of the "Linux Superguide," a complete television and web based information resource for the Linux Operating System (OS), a free and open source code OS.
"ZDTV has a strong commitment to provide viewers with comprehensive and reliable information on computers, technology and the Internet," said Harry Fuller, News Director ZDTV.
"With the recent announcements by IBM and Hewlett-Packard in support of the Linux OS, interest in the "alternative to Windows" has never been stronger. Although the Linux user base is still relatively small, intense interest in the product continues to grow," Fuller added.

Produced in combination with ZDTV and ZDTV.com, ZDTV's integrated website, the "Linux Superguide" (www.zdnet.com/zdtv/screensavers/linux) has useful tips and tricks on how to set up and operate the Linux OS and features archived video clips of various ZDTV shows that have showcased the newly popular OS.
Highlights of the "Linux Superguide" include:
"The Screen Savers" hosts Kate Botello and Leo Laporte doing an on-air installation of the Linux OS on video.
"FrankenLinux" - "The Screen Savers" hosts Botello and Laporte create a Linux box from spare parts on video.
