WorkStation Price Cuts: Dell Precision WorkStation Prices Cut Up to 17 Percent; Entry-Level Workstation With Monitor Now Priced At Less Than $1,700 - Company Business and Marketing

Dell Computer Corporation, the world's leading direct computer systems company, Tuesday cut U.S. prices on select configurations of Dell Precision WorkStations by up to 17 percent.

Effective Tuesday, a Dell Precision WorkStation 210 with dual 450MHz Pentium III processors, 64MB of RAM, dual 6.4GB(a) IDE hard disk drives, 17/40X(b) CD-ROM drive, Windows NT and a Diamond Permedia2 8MB AGP graphics card is priced at $2,241, a reduction of 17 percent.

Prices for the entry-level Dell Precision WorkStation 210 now start at $1,668(c), including monitor. In addition, Dell cut prices on the mid-range Dell Precision WorkStation 410 by up to 15.5 percent and on the high-end Dell Precision WorkStation 610 by up to 7.4 percent.
