Hewlett-Packard Company has announced that, effective Nov. 4, it will cut the price of its recently announced HP ProCurve Switch 6208M-SX. End users will save 20 percent on the already low price. Users will also save on the extension of the popular HP ProCurve 10/100/1000 Cash Rebate, which offers up to $400 cash back on selected HP ProCurve Networking products. Price cuts and rebates are effective only in North America.
The HP ProCurve Switch 6208M-SX, which was $14,249, now is $11,499. The switch was part of HP ProCurve Networking's fall product line announced Sept. 7.

Additionally, the HP ProCurve 10/100/1000 Cash Rebate has been extended and will now run until Feb. 29, 2000. HP has increased the rebates for the HP ProCurve Switch 408 by 41 percent to $85 and for the HP ProCurve Switch 2224 by 200 percent to $150.
