U.S. semiconductor maker Ramtron International Corporation; Ramtron's wholly owned subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems, Inc.; and Cypress Semiconductor announced Thursday that they have entered into a joint technology agreement to develop semiconductor memory products for the rapidly expanding network communications market. The multi-million dollar agreement provides for joint development and multi-source supply for the resulting products.
"We are excited about the potential benefits of incorporating jointly developed technology in our future products," said Tony Alvarez, senior vice president of Cypress Semiconductor. "The products we envision will set new standards for price and performance in the network communications memory space."
