Ma-Li Kuo commented, "The principal growth that we are experiencing is because we manufacture the essential "engine" that reads the DVD disk in a DVD player. The "engine" is called the intelligent loader. Each DVD player must have the "engine" in order to operate. Also, we are pleased that our engineering efforts have resulted in either the granting of, or applications for more than 20 US patents in this DVD technology that is fueling our growth."
Ma-Li Kuo also pointed out that the Company was quick to move its engineering resources to the intelligent loader and maximize its share of the emerging China market. Under Dr. Sun's technical leadership and Korea's engineering effectiveness and quick responses this has resulted in the company's capturing the greater than 50% share as mentioned above.
