Research In Motion Limited Monday confirmed that it is working with Dell Computer Corporation to supply wireless technology designed to let business customers remotely send and receive e-mail. RIM expects Dell to begin offering the BlackBerry wireless email solution to customers as of November 30, 1999.
"This announcement marks the beginning of a strategic relationship between Dell and RIM that will deliver significant value to corporate customers. BlackBerry, the leading wireless email solution, will now be available from Dell, the leading direct computer systems company," said Jim Balsillie, Chairman and Co-CEO, Research In Motion. "RIM's vision for the evolution of the information appliance focuses on complementing the PC and integrating with the enterprise, which is a good fit with Dell's commitment to supply its customers with integrated, end-to-end systems."
