Hewlett-Packard Company Monday announced the HP DeskJet 830C/832C printer, part of the company's strategy to offer easy-to-use, brilliant photo-quality printing solutions and the best everyday printing to every customer.
The HP DeskJet 830C/832C printer, with an estimated U.S. street price of $199(1), is intended for price-sensitive users who want outstanding everyday printing from their home inkjet printers.
"This printer rounds out HP's line of affordable inkjet printers and strengthens the company's ability to meet the needs of individual customers," said Antonio Perez, president and chief executive officer of HP Inkjet Imaging Solutions. "With this printer, HP now offers a high-quality printing solution at every price point."

The HP DeskJet 830C/832C printer is ideal for creating photo-quality output and everyday family projects. The new printer features the following:
* increased flexibility -- supports both PC and USB-connect Macintosh systems and offers both parallel and USB ports;
* built-in photo quality -- offers award-winning photo-quality output and rich text with color layering technology from HP PhotoREt II. HP's color layering technology blends tiny drops of ink to produce a broad range of realistic colors and improved image quality for delivering true photo quality on any paper;
* fast printing -- print speeds of up to 8 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 5 ppm in color;
* exciting new design -- the printer features a purple-colored lid and brings a fun design to both Windows and USB-connect Mac users;
* flexible paper handling -- excellent results on all kinds of paper, including plain, banner, glossy, photo and more.
The HP DeskJet 830C/832C printer also includes the following software:
* HP Instant Delivery -- allows users to schedule delivery of free, concise editions of popular publications and their favorite Web pages. HP Instant Delivery content providers include CBS SportsLine, MSNBC.com, National Geographic Interactive, Afternoon Update from TIME.com, USA TODAY Update, The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition and GIST.com.
* HP Web PrintSmart -- offers Internet users the ability to collect, organize and print favorite Web content in one personal report.
In addition, the HP DeskJet 832C printer model includes the following added feature:
* Printable Expressions Greeting Card Collection by HP -- allows customers to easily create beautiful greeting cards with an inkjet printer. The Special Edition Collection includes a CD-ROM with 40 greetings, 12 pieces of select artwork from a range of Printable Expressions collections, and five beautifully textured blank cards and envelopes.
