Lexmark Slashes Price On the Award-Winning Optra Color 1200 Series of Printers - Company Business and Marketing

Lexmark International Inc., Monday announced an across-the-board price reduction for its award-winning Optra Color 1200 series printers. The Optra Color 1200 has consistently garnered industry recognition for speed, print resolution and other high-performance features. The new prices put fast color printing within reach for more businesses than ever before.

"This product has received outstanding recognition from the industry, including the `Technology of the Year' and `Most Valuable Printer' awards for network color lasers from PC Computing," said Lee Neyland, general manager of U.S. Product Marketing in Lexmark's business printer division. "This price action will provide businesses with an excellent opportunity to use color for added impact."

Lexmark is cutting prices 14 to 18 percent on the full series of Optra Color 1200 printers. The estimated street prices for the units will now be:

-- Optra Color 1200 $4,499 (U.S.)

-- Optra Color 1200nl $4,599 (U.S.)

-- Optra Color 1200n $5,149 (U.S.)

-- OptraImage Color 1200r $6,829 (U.S.)
